PACKER WEEKEND

PACKERS 17 Browns 0

We got a chance again for 4 tickets.Hopefully Brad & Andrea could go, but Andrea couldn't get out of work. Tried Bonk for a free expense week-end, but apparently his plans changed. Tried some others but no go. So Vicky, Brad & I took off Friday night and stayed in Appleton, Wis. Saturday off to Green Bay. Visited the bay and almost stayed the day. Then to Lambeau Field. A quick check of area, Packer Shop, tailgating tents and then in to see the game.

The storm, which apparently settled down after leaving Eldora

These campers are stranded between the large puddle of water in front of them and the river behind them. Not sure how they are going to get out of this one.

This is one of the fields just east of Eldora. I bet it's a complete loss.

This is one of hundreds of hail stone piles in yards.

This is the fountain area by the court house.

This poor camper didn't stand a chance. We saw a lot of campers that looked like this.

This lone flag was standing in the cemetery.

This truck had no windows on the right side left intact.

This is the house directly east of Brenda & Jason's house.

This playset weighs "a lot" and took a truck to move it. Shows you just how powerful the wind was.

Eldora Storm August 2009

Today has been a crazy day. A couple of storms have rumbled through the area and Eldora didn't fair very well. A lot of hail damage, trees down, wires down - - a big mess. I wasn't able to load any of the pictures to Facebook, so thought I would try here. Brenda and Jason are headed back to board up the windows and grab the animals. Pretty traumatizing day for the kids and when the second round hit Grundy Center and the tornado warning went off it sure didn't help their frayed nerves any. I am going to post Brenda and Jason's in the first wave and then I'll do some of the shots from around town.
